What's happening to writing?
Why I keep writing, even though AI can write anything.
It sucks when writing FEELS like AI.
You know the feeling of posts that feel strangely polished but hollow.
We’re in a moment where content is being mass-produced faster than ever. AI can write blog posts, social captions, entire books. Coherent, technically impressive… in an instant.
The internet is overflowing with it.
But, I can feel it in my body when I’ve over-consumed cheap content. Like a fast-food meal I thought I wanted.
So where does that leave those of us who write from lived experience?
Here’s what I believe:
AI can mimic form. But it can’t touch essence.
It can replicate tone, but not truth.
It can structure ideas, but not transmit presence.
It can generate content but it can’t generate resonance.
And resonance will always be trendy.
In all the noise, what cuts through isn’t speed or volume. It’s truth. Depth. Trust. It’s the feeling of being seen, heard and understood on a human level.
We’re being invited to go deeper. To build what machines can’t: community, connection, clarity that comes from lived experience.
Because what we’re doing is not just content.
It’s frequency.
A remembering.
A movement.
And if you’re someone who’s feels the same, this space is for you.
For the creator who doesn’t want to perform, but wants to lead.
For the business owner who’s tired of binary half-truths and craves depth.
For the human who still believes that slow work matters.
I’ve stopped trying to outpace the noise. I’m building a body of work rooted in emotional intelligence, depth, nuance, and personal insight.
Writing that doesn’t just explain business and life but feels like what business and life actually feel like.
I want to be clear: I’m not anti-AI. I use it extensively.
I teach business owners how to use it. I’ll continue using it to assist, refine, and streamline the work. AI is an incredible tool, and AI-generated content has its place.
But I also believe in something deeper. This is a both/and conversation.
I’ll keep adopting and adapting as quickly as makes sense.
AND…
When words can be generated instantly, I want to create the kind of work that can’t be outsourced. The kind that comes from hard-won reflections.
AI can assist. It can enhance. But it can’t replace the depth that only a human mind, heart, and lifetime of learning can bring.
